Wheeler Involved in Dispute Before Death

While police continue to investigate John Wheeler’s death, reports have surfaced of another investigation involving the former Presidential adviser.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Wheeler might have been involved with an incendiary device found in a house under construction just across the street from his home.

“I have heard of that report,” said Lt. Mark Farrall. “We do know about the dispute with his neighbors. Investigators are looking into it at this time.”

The State Fire Marshals confirmed that they’re investigating a fire related incident at the home.

Construction workers at the house say that they found scorch marks on the wall one day when they were working there last week.

Wheeler had been in a court battle with his neighbors Frank and Regina Marini who own the home. Wheeler was upset that the house blocked part of his view of the Delaware River.

The Marinis haven’t commented on Wheeler’s death. A representative released a statement however.

According to published reports, there is an ongoing investigation into this matter. As such it would be inappropriate for us to comment at this time.

Police continue to investigate both the incendiary device and Wheeler’s death. It’s unknown if the two incidents are in anyway related.
