West Chester University President Announces Retirement

Greg R. Weisenstein, President of West Chester University, announced his retirement on Thursday. Weisenstein has been President since March of 2009 and his retirement will be effective on March 31, 2016.

According to the University’s website, Weisenstein is the chair of both the Council of Presidents for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and the Committee for International Education for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities.

Also according to the Univerity’s website, Weisentstein graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in history and geology. He received his Master’s Degree in special education, and completed his doctorate in administration and special education at the University of Kansas.
