Couple throws wedding at local Dairy Queen

If you could get married anywhere you wanted where would it be?

On a beach in Jamaica? An exotic island? A cruise ship to the Greek Islands?

What about at a wedding Chapel in Vegas with an Elvis look-a-like as your witness?

One couple chose Dairy Queen.

James Manzano and Toni Walker got hitched Saturday at the Dairy Queen restaurant on Easton Ave. in Bethlehem Township, according to the Express-Times. Walker is an assistant manager there.

Walker was planning to have a wedding at the courthouse, but general manager Luis Romero insisted the ceremony be held at the restaurant.

The wedding took three weeks to plan and prepare. And, on the big day, about two-dozen guests, including some regulars at the shop, filled the tables and booths.

Imagine. You walk in expecting to satisfy your sweet tooth when, all of a sudden, you’re a witness at a wedding too.

“I thought it was very romantic,” said Erin Wimmer, an eight-year-old customer.

Did they have a wedding cake or just split an Oreo Blizzard?
