Armed Thieves Hold-Up Woman Working at Wawa

Delaware State Police are looking for two men who robbed a woman working at a Wilmington Wawa at gunpoint early this morning.

Troopers say two men entered the convenience store at 400 Wilson Road around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and confronted the 22-year-old cashier. One of the men pointed a handgun at her and demanded money, according to investigators.

The woman handed over money from the cash register and both suspects fled the store.

Police said the men were both thin, standing between 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall and appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s.

Anyone with information on the heist is asked to contact state police investigators at 302-834-2630 ext. 6 or submit a tip anonymously online or by texting “DSP” to 274637.
