A waterpark near Atlantic City's Boardwalk is quickly coming to fruition after the city's redevelopment corporation approved plans to repurpose a vacant casino on Monday.
The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, or CRDA, approved developments for the former Atlantic Club – one of four casinos that closed last year – including plans to convert the property into an entertainment complex with an 81,000-square-foot waterpark and 800 hotel rooms, the Press of Atlantic City reports.
Devon, Pa.-based Endeavor Property Group is behind the project, and up to $165 million is needed to complete it by winter of 2016/2017, according to Press of AC.
