Crews are on the scene of a water main break in Newtown Square. Officials say it happened on the 3400 block of West Chester Pike.

Officials say the westbound side of West Chester Pike is currently shut down and they may have it back in service around 5 p.m. Newtown Police advise motorists to avoid the area as crews continue to work on the water main. A 6-inch cast iron is currently between Valley View and Bryn Mawr Avenue.

120 customers in the area are without water.
