The mayor of a central Pennsylvania borough says the July 4th fireworks show might be a no-go.
Carlisle Mayor William Kronenberg said Thursday that the borough needs community donations to pay for its annual July 4th fireworks show.
The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports that Kronenberg says he must decide within the next few days whether there will be fireworks this year.
The borough relies on donations to pay for the display, but that it has raised just $16,100 of the $25,000 it needs to put on the July 6 show.
Kronenberg's encouraging people to mail checks to the borough.
