When Pathmark gunman Terence Tyler's mother died five years ago, he announced to relatives that he wanted to join the military and go to war. Brian Thompson has the details.

The gunman, 23-year-old Terence Tyler, killed himself with an automatic handgun. The three had been working the overnight shift along with a dozen or so other employees when Tyler apparently got into an argument with someone, walked out to his car and returned with the weapons.

It's still not clear what sparked the shootings. Authorities are investigating his motive, but family members said Tyler -- who once tweeted about killing "everyone I see" -- was discharged from the Marines two years ago after suffering from depression and had never gotten over his mother's death about five years ago.

Authorities say Tyler had worked at the store for less than two weeks.
