A volunteer Bensalem Township firefighter is under arrest after police say he took videos and sexually explicit photos of a number of girls.
Eric Word, 18, was charged Thursday with computer theft, invasion of privacy and related offenses.
Police said they found the images on Word’s phone during an investigation into another person’s stolen phone. Word had allegedly taken a Bensalem woman’s phone and it was tracked to him, according to police.
There were a number of images and videos of a number of women, with the youngest victim being 14 years old, police said. According to court documents, Word allegedly bragged about the images he took.
Word did not comment as he left the Bensalem Township Police Department. It’s not clear if he has retained an attorney.
The man was volunteering with the Bensalem Fire Department when the crimes took place, police said. He resigned over the weekend.
Word was arraigned Thursday afternoon and is being held on $7,000 bail.
