Nearly a month after at least two pickup trucks did doughnuts on South Jersey athletic fields, police asked for the public’s help to find the drivers.
The vandalism in the early hours of Feb. 11 left $1,000 in damage to Veteran’s Memorial Park along Ocean Heights Avenue in Egg Harbor Township.
Witnesses told police two vehicles — one an older model red pickup and the other a small gold pickup — drove recklessly across the grass turf.
The doughnuts left mud ruts in the field.
Police hope someone knows something about the pickups involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Egg Harbor Township Criminal Investigation Bureau at 609-926-4051 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-658-8477.
