Veteran-Owned Company Completes $1.5M Expansion Project in Philadelphia

DiSorb Systems Inc., a medical manufacturing company, completed a $1.5 million improvement project of its 75,000-square-foot production facility in North Philadelphia.

The veteran-owned company, founded in 2000, supplies hospitals and surgical centers worldwide with products that disinfect and solidify blood and other liquid medical waste. DiSorb officials said the company is one of just three in the country that makes the products, which minimize potential exposure to blood-borne illnesses, and allow for the safe and cost-effective disposal of liquid medical waste.

Ted McLaughlin, CEO of DiSorb, said the firm completed a year-long installation of a high-speed production line, which will allow DiSorb to triple its sales over the next year by increasing production capacity eight-fold.
