A woman is in custody after she killed her neighbor following an argument, according to a law enforcement source.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence on the 300 block of North Wissahickon Avenue in Ventnor around noon on Sunday, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. When they arrived, officials say they found the man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
A law enforcement source told NBC10 the ordeal began during an argument between upstairs and downstairs neighbors at the residence. During the argument, a woman stabbed the man once in the chest, according to the source. The source told NBC10 the woman was taken into custody.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
