Woman Dies After Vehicles Collide in South Jersey

A woman was killed and a man was injured after two vehicles collided in Franklin Township, New Jersey Sunday afternoon.

Police say Britni Zarin, 27, of Pittsgrove, New Jersey was driving a white Kia Forte on Weymouth Road at 3:34 p.m. As she approached the intersection of South Blue Bell Road she failed to stop at the stop sign, according to investigators. The Kia continued through the intersection and was struck by a green Ford Explorer traveling north on South Blue Bell Road.

The crash caused the Kia to go off the roadway and overturn next to a vacant home.

When police arrived Zarin was unconscious and trapped inside her vehicle. She was later pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Explorer was taken to Inspira Vineland Medical Center and treated for neck and facial injuries.
