Should there be mandates on vaccination?
The topic of public health mandates was part of the Franklin Institute’s Monday Night speaker series "Vaccines: to Mandate Or Not?"
The event featuring immunology expert Dr. Paul Offit, chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and the director of the Vaccine Education Center at CHOP, focused on the controversial topic of vaccination.
“Vaccines have saved millions of lives around the world, but how do we consider their benefits in the context of our personal, community, and global values?” asked the Franklin Institute in its promotion for the event. “Do mandates cross the line, or are they necessary for public health?”
