An Upper Darby woman is in hot water after she allegedly stole more than $6,000 in electrical service.

Upper Darby Police say that 50-year-old Agnes Bedard of Highland Park rigged her meter after PECO shut off her service for failing to pay, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

“PECO would shut her off and she would get another contractor to hook her up,” Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood tells the Daily Times.

Bedard is now facing felony theft charges after PECO officers reported her to authorities, according to the paper.
