Two Teens Charged with Firing Shots at Atlantic City School

Police say two teenagers have been arrested on weapons charges stemming from a shooting at an Atlantic City school complex.

Atlantic City police said in a statement on Saturday that a 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old Darren Nedrick, of Atlantic City, have been arrested. Police did not identify the 16-year-old, who is also from Atlantic City.

Authorities say that on Feb. 3 the teens fired shots at the Uptown School Complex when school was not in session. No injuries were reported.

A motive for the shooting is not clear.

The teens face charges including assault, conspiracy and unlawful weapons possession.

It could not immediately be determined if they had an attorney to speak on their behalf.
