Two Shot At N. Philly Rec Center

Police found 14 bullets from 2 different guns. The search is on for the shooter

Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect in a double shooting at a recreation center in North Philadelphia.

The shooting happened Thursday night outside the Penrose Rec Center at 12th and Susquehanna Avenue. It's not far from the campus of Temple University.

Two victims were rushed to the hospital by police on the scene. A 27-year old man is in critical condition. A 16-year boy old is stable.

Police tell NBC10 the shooter fired at the victims from outside the gate of the rec center. The victims were on the playground.

Investigators found 14 bullets from two different guns. They believe the shooter was armed with two high-powered handguns and ran off before police arrived.
