The Atlantic County Prosecutor has identified a man and his wife who were killed after fire swept through the house they were renting in Margate early Saturday morning.

Investigators said that 75-year-old Ralph Spinosi and his wife Jessica, 68, were renting the top floors of the house at 316 North Thurlow Avenue. The homeowner, 54-year-old Donna Saber was also in the house and managed to get out when the fire started to call 911.

Firefighters responded to the scene at around 2 a.m. and found heavy fire and smoke. Ralph Spinosi was found on the second floor, while Jessica  was discovered on the third floor. An autopsy on both victims will take place Sunday.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, though officials have said that the blaze started in a kitchen area of the house.
