Truck Accident Leaves Hundreds Without Power in NJ

Hundreds of people are without power after a truck accident downed power lines and sparked a large blaze in New Jersey Monday.

A spokeswoman for PSE&G said the truck struck a pole on Huyler Street in Teterboro around noon, causing wires to come down. The accident caused approximately 630 customers to lose power.

Firefighters responded to the scene after the accident caused the truck to catch on fire. It remains unclear what caused the accident or if there were injuries.

PSE&G crews are on the scene making repairs and power is expected to be restored in the next few hours, the utility company said.
