Delaware State Troopers are looking for a man who robbed a Wawa convenience store in New Castle early Sunday morning.

Investigators say that a man wearing a mask entered the Wawa store at 531 East Basin Road shortly before 2 a.m. Police say the man had one hand in his jacket pocket, implying that he had a weapon, and used the other to gesture toward the cash register. A store employee gave an unknown amount of cash to the suspect, who fled on foot.

The suspect in the case is described as a white male standing approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a large build. He was last seen wearing the mask and a black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Delaware State Police Robbery Unit at (302) 834-2630 extension 6 or text 274637.
