Train Traveling to NC Derails in Philly

SkyForce10 was over the scene of a train derailment near Temple University.

The CSX train derailed near Wissahickon Avenue and Ruffner Street in the Nicetown-Tioga section of the city and was spotted by Skyforce10 around 6:30 a.m.

CSX Bob Sullivan says the incident occured at 4:15 this morning while the train was traveling through Philly from Selkirk, New York to Hamlet, North Carolina.

Seven of the train's 138 freight cars derailed. The cars were empty at the time.

SEPTA is not affected by the derailment.
