Tractor-Trailer Gets Stuck Under Art Museum Overpass

A tractor-trailer, too tall to fit under an overpass near the Philadelphia Museum of Art, got wedged stuck during rush hour Friday.

The truck struck the underside of the bridge that carries Spring Garden Street over Martin Luther King Drive at Eakins Oval around 5 p.m.

The impact damaged the top of the trailer. It is unclear whether the bridge was affected.

The entrance to Martin Luther King Drive westbound was closed because of the incident.

Crews cleared the big rig and reopened the road shortly before 6 p.m.
