Truck Carrying Ham Catches Fire in Westfall Township

A truck that appeared to have been carrying ham caught on fire Sunday in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania.

The truck caught on fire shortly before noon on I-84 eastbound around mile-marker 50.4, according to state police. Lanes were closed for several hours at the scene of the fire as firefighters fought the flames. The scene was cleared around 4 p.m.

State Police could not confirm whether anyone was injured during the fire. A witness who took both photos and videos of the fire told NBC10 he didn’t see anyone who appeared to be injured however. He also said the truck was carrying ham.

Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
