Tornado Watch Canceled for Entire Area

NBC10 chief meteorologist Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz reports the tornado watch for the entire area has been cancelled Monday afternoon. (Published Wednesday, Oct 16, 2013)

A Tornado Watch has been canceled for our entire area, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Kent and Sussex Counties in Delaware.

With heavy rains moving across the region, the National Weather Service issued the Tornado Watch Monday morning for the entire Philadelphia viewing area including all Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware counties in the region.

NBC10 First Alert Chief Meteorologist Glenn Hurricane Schwartz and his team are tracking the severe weather as it moves through this afternoon. Here is the 1pm update. (Published Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013)

Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued for parts of the area as the first band of storms moved through after noon Monday. By 3 p.m., only a small portion of Bucks County remained under the severe thunderstorm warning.

A cold front moved across the region, causing temperatures to drop. Temperatures will be in the high 60's for the rest of the week.
