Trash May Have Saved Baby's Life in Logan

A 1-year-old suffered only minor injuries after falling three stories to the ground.

A one-year-old girl not only survived a frightening fall from a third floor window in Logan on Saturday, the baby suffered only minor injuries.

She landed in a pile of trash and police say it broke her fall.

The child was pushing against a screen in a bedroom and fell out a window at a home on the 4900 block of 12th Street just before 9 a.m., according to Philadelphia Police.

The baby was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to be evaluated and was released Saturday evening.
