Toddler Revived After Nearly Drowning: Cops

Police say residents at a home were able to revive a 1 1/2-year-old girl who nearly drowned in an inflatable pool.

A young girl is recovering in the hospital after nearly drowning in a pool.

It happened this morning at a home on the unit block of Glamis Road in Gloucester Township. Officers arrived at the house around 10:30 a.m. after being called and found a 1 ½ year-old girl unconscious. Investigators say the girl had been playing inside an inflatable pool when she nearly drowned and became unresponsive.

Residents of the home were performing CPR on the girl when police arrived and were able to revive her. The child was transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden where police say she is conscious, alert and in stable condition.
