U.S. Marshals and Philadelphia Police arrested the man wanted for the murder of a Penn State student Friday, thanks to an anonymous tipster, police say.
Twenty-year-old Jeffrey Little was found under a bed at 3127 N. 16th St. 10:15 a.m. Friday after SWAT teams were led to the address by the caller, according to police.
Police identified Little as a wanted man Thursday, saying that he murdered Penn State student Mohan Varughese after Varughese wouldn’t give the keys to his motorcycle to the suspect.
Little allegedly shot Varughese three times -- in the head and in the chest -- in broad daylight May 9 as the Penn State student sat on his girlfriend’s stoop.
Philadelphia Police voiced their gratitude Friday to the unknown person who called 9-1-1 and told police where Little was. The anonymous caller is eligible for a $2,500 reward that was offered for information leading to Little's capture.
Police say Little will be charged with murder.
