Power Restored for Most in Montco, Bucks Counties After Storms

After tens of thousands of people lost power during severe storms Friday night, there are now only scattered outages in Montgomery and Bucks counties, PECO officials say.

Crews are still working and expect to have all power restored by this evening, according to the utility.

About 40,000 customers lost power at the height of the storm. At least 10,000 were still without power this morning, since heavy winds ripped the area, causing major damage.

Utility spokesman Ben Armstrong says many trees fell in Montgomery County, damaging power equipment.
