Thief Steals $418 Worth of Packages from Apartment Complex: Police

Police are on the look out for a thief who they say entered and stole packages from a complex in Philadelphia.

Police on Tuesday say the suspect took mail packages valued at $418 from the lobby of the victim's apartment building, located at 1234 Hamilton Street around 2:15 p.m.

Police describe the man as being 40-50 years-of-age, of average height and with a medium build. At the time of the theft, the suspect was wearing a teal and white zebra print Seattle Sea Hawks cap, black jacket, white shirt, white short pants, purple "Reebok" backpack, and tan work boots, according to investigators.

Police released video of the suspect collecting the boxes and say he then left the complex with the packages in tow. Police are asking for help in identifying the man and remind the public to make sure their belongings are being stored safely when being delivered by mail.
