“The Voice” Is Set To Cast In Philly

Could you be the next Tessanne Chin or Matthew Schuler? Both singers were recent contestants on NBC's "The Voice." The hit show is coming to Philadelphia to cast in January.

The casting call takes place Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. NBC is looking to discover the next great voice talent. The show is stopping in the City of Brotherly Love to identify artists to compete on the primetime show.

"The Voice" judges will let you know where you stand.

It was a first for the show when all four judges, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, turned their chairs around for Yeadon native Matthew Schuler during the blind auditions this past season. Schuler made it to the top 5, representing the Philadelphia region.

"It was crazy to have all four coaches to turn so fast and to be so passionately fighting for me. It was absolutely insane. It was really tough because they had all really good things to say. Cee-Lo talked about me owning myself and my art. But, Christina. There’s something about her. I still can’t put my finger on it today. She’s an underdog that really got me," said Schuler.

Schuler described his experience competing on "The Voice" as an "honor and blessing."

All artists must register to audition and meet all eligibility requirements listed on the "The Voice" website.
