Award-winning songwriter Leon Huff had another reason to celebrate on his 67th birthday.
The Grammy-winning producer who helped create the "Sound of Philadelphia" had a street renamed for him in Camden on Wednesday.
A section of Mulford Street, where he was raised, was renamed Leon Huff Way.
Huff has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Kenny Gamble. The duo are known for such songs as "Love Train" by the O'Jays; "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul; and "If You Don't Know Me by Now" by Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.
Among the large crowd attending the event was Huff's former music teacher, Alfred Minnicozzi, who was credited with helping Huff learn the discipline he neded to become a musician.
