The Carey Crew: Meet Pa.'s Newest Sextuplets

An exclusive introduction to the Feasterville 6 capturing national attention

Emma, Samantha, Olivia, John, Patrick and Connor -- meet the six little bundles of joy in the Carey family.

The sextuplets, of proud parents Brendan and Stacey Carey and big sister Juliana, were born at Abington Hospital on June 1, three weeks premature, all weighing between 1 and 2-1/2 pounds.

"I do think it's a miracle that they are doing as well as they are, said proud mother Stacey. "We were prepared for the worst, and we've been blessed by six babies that are doing very well."

Thursday was the first time all the Carey kids were featured on TV as NBC Philadelphia's Rosemary Connors spent the day with the little ones and mom inside their Bucks County home.

The Careys are amongst just a handful of sextuplets on the East Coast.

Carey is a former teacher, who is now a full-time mom.

"A few years ago I thought I might not have any children, and here I am with seven."

Carey underwent fertility treatments, that were initially unsuccessful. She says she was hoping for one more child. When she finally became pregnant with the sextuplets, it was her final attempt at fertility treatment.

β€œInitially it was terrifying and overwhelming and scary, but now that they’re here and I look at them all -- I think it is a blessing,” she said.

The busy mom gets help from her mother and mother-in-law, while her husband Brendan works long hours as a bartender. Carey says she is always looking for an extra set of hands.

β€œYou can’t be here and not hold a baby or feed a baby -- anybody that comes in the door we put them to work.”
