“Justice Prevails” for Tent City Founder

Witness tampering charges have been dropped against the minister who founded a homeless encampment near the Jersey Shore.

The Rev. Steve Brigham lives at the so-called “Tent City” in Lakewood, N.J.

The charges stem from Brigham's arrest in 2012 after a woman claimed he had cut up her tent to get her to leave. Brigham said the woman was being disruptive.

Brigham tells the Asbury Park Press he's glad justice prevailed but not that he had to endure the process.

“I am glad justice prevailed but I am sad that I was dragged through all that just to see justice could prevail,” he said.
