Temple Student, Juvenile Shot in Botched Robbery

A Temple student and a juvenile are both in the hospital after a failed robbery attempt.

It happened on Monday around 2 a.m. on North 11th and West York Street. Police say three suspects approached the student and attempted to rob him. The student pulled out a gun and a shooting battle ensued.

The student was shot once in the stomach while one suspect, a juvenile, was shot once in the back and once in the leg. The other two suspects fled the scene.

Police say the Temple student had a permit for his gun while the juvenile did not.

Both the student and the juvenile were taken to Temple University Hospital where they are currently in stable condition.

Police are still searching for the two other suspects.
