Temple Graduates Largest Class in History

MSNBC's "Hardball" host Chris Matthews give the commencement speech.

Temple University graduates can take TV newsman Chris Matthews' advice to heart -- and with them wherever they go.

The host of MSNBC's "Hardball" addressed the class of 2011 in Philadelphia on Thursday. He gave each grad a wallet-size card with five tips for getting a job.

The advice exhorts students to be their own advocates and to network tirelessly.

Matthews, who grew up in the Philadelphia area, also received an honorary degree at the ceremony.

Temple is granting nearly 8,900 bachelor's, graduate and professional degrees at the commencement. It is the largest class in school history.
