Police say the teens grabbed the man's backpack and beat him up when he refused to let go

Police say two teenagers robbed and beat a blind man walking from a bus stop in Reading, Pa.

reports that a 17-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy turned themselves Friday after they were identified in surveillance camera images as the pair who attacked the man.
 
They were released to the custody of their parents pending juvenile court action on robbery and related charges.
 
Police say the suspects approached the man from behind as he walked to Reading Area Community College, grabbed his backpack and beat him when he refused to let go.
 
The victim was not seriously injured.
 
Police withheld the suspects' names because they are minors.
