Teen Punished After Man is Crushed by Truck

A teenager has been sent to a juvenile center for serious offenders in the death of a man police say was run over outside his southeastern Pennsylvania home after a drug-related robbery.

The Daily Local News of West Chester reports that the 16-year-old Oxford youth was adjudicated earlier this month in juvenile court in Chester County.

He and two other people were charged in the Dec. 17 death of 19-year-old Anthony Welhaf.

State police allege that the trio went to the home intending to rob the victim of marijuana he had agreed to sell them, but when they tried to leave without paying, Welhaf grabbed onto the door and was crushed by the truck.

Another defendant awaits a juvenile disposition while a third faces trial in county court.
