Teen Girl Hit by Car, Driver Fled: Police

Toms River Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who left the scene of a Saturday night accident

Teen Girl Hit by Car, Driver Fled: Police

A 16-year-old girl was riding her bike on the shoulder of Route 166 and Maple Tree Road in Toms River when she was hit by a car just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Toms River Police say the driver who hit the girl left the scene in what's described as a white or silver Nissan vehicle with damage to the passenger side headlight area.

The teen was taken to Community Medical Center to be treated.
