Teen Girl Dies After Being Struck by Amtrak Train in Philadelphia

A teen girl died from her injuries after she was struck by an Amtrak train in Northeast Philadelphia Friday.

The Amtrak Keystone Train was traveling southbound around 5:45 p.m. when it struck a 17-year-old girl on the tracks at State Road and Linden Avenue. The body of the unidentified girl was found at 8200 State Road where the train came to a rest.

Officials have not yet identified the teen. They continue to investigate.
