Teen Founder of ‘Angels of God' Has College Luggage Stolen, SUV Smashed Outside NJ Home

A New Jersey teen who founded a charity that donates clothing to the needy found all her luggage and items packed for college stolen from the back of her mom's sport utility vehicle.

The back window was smashed and all of the items 18-year-old Katelyn Darrow planned to take with her from Pitman to California were gone Wednesday morning, “My mom was outside early this morning when we saw the broken glass on the back window smashed all over the ground… we had packed the night before.” Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Darrow told NBC10 she was, “just trying to stay positive and move forward.” /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";}

Darrow said the most expensive item stolen was her Nikon camera, but more important items like photos and personal items are what she'll miss the most.

A fire destroyed Darrow's family house when she was 9 years old and the generosity of others motivated her to establish Angels of God Clothing Closet when she was 12.

A friend of Darrow's has started a GoFundMe page to help replace Darrow's belongings.
