Police are investigating the shooting death of a teenage boy in Wilmington.
Police say the 17-year-old boy was found by officers on the 2600 block of N. Van Buren Street on Monday around 6 p.m. The teen was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, according to investigators.
He was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators determined that the teen died from a gunshot wound. They will release his identity pending the notification of his family.
No arrests have been made. Police have not yet released information on any suspects.
