A teenage boy who allegedly stabbed another youth during a fight outside a northern New Jersey school has been charged with aggravated assault.
Newark police say the teen also faces two weapons charges, and it's possible that more arrests could be made.
Authorities say the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was stabbed in the left arm when the fight broke out Friday afternoon in front of the Luis Munoz Marin Middle School'. He was hospitalized in stable condition, but further details on his injuries have not been disclosed.
Authorities have not said what the teens were fighting about or released their names. Authorities initially had said the fight occurred at Newark Technology High School.
An off-duty special police officer witnessed the stabbing and captured the suspect moments later.
