Teen Boy Shot During Armed Robbery

A teenage boy is fighting for his life after a shooting in Norristown.

Police say the 16-year-old teen was on Willow Street and East Elm Street when he was approached by an armed robber. The robber opened fire, striking the teen in the chest. Police say the robber then stole an unknown amount of cash from the victim before fleeing the scene.

The teen was taken to the hospital where he is in serious condition. No arrests have been made. Police have not yet released a description of the suspect.
