A Tacony resident says two armed men claimed they were police officers before they burst into the resident's home early this morning.

The resident of the 7200 block of Vandike Street told investigators that he was awoken around 3:35 a.m. by two men claiming they were police officers, according to Philadelphia Police.

Neither of the armed men was dressed as an officer, officers said.

The men took a lock box with about $5,000 to $10,000 worth of coins and money inside, according to investigators.

Two people were home at the time, neither was hurt.

Investigators remained at the scene through the morning, according to NBC10's Claudia Rivero.
