Delaware State Police say a 38-year-old Wilmington man was seriously injured when he fell from a bridge over a creek near Stanton where he was swimming with friends.
Police say Francisco Garcia climbed onto a bridge to jump into White Clay Creek off Stanton-Christiana Road on Friday evening, but fell backward, hitting his head on the concrete below. Garcia was taken to Christiana Hospital with serious head injuries.
Police are investigating the incident.
