A man suspected of fatally stabbing a woman whose body was found in the woods near her Pittsburgh-area home has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Allegheny County police say the severely beaten body of 32-year-old Delicious Jones was found Saturday morning in a wooded area near her home in Wilkins Township.
Police considered 36-year-old William Arrington, of Turtle Creek, to be a suspect in Jones' death. But before police could question or charge him, he was found at a relative's home later that day with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The county medical examiner on Monday said he died late Sunday night at a Pittsburgh hospital.
An autopsy has since determined that Jones was fatally stabbed. She is survived by two children, ages 16 and 10. She had been reported missing Friday night.
