Man Flags Down Cops While Holding Weed: Police

Theodore Milner is charged with possession with the intent to sell

A man who flagged down police for help, got a little more than he bargained for after the officers discovered outstanding warrants and a bag full of pot.

Theodore Milner, 21, was traveling with a friend on Interstate I-95 when their car suddenly ran out of gas. While the two friends were walking down on Churchman’s Road near the Christiana River, two New Castle County Police officers were headed in their direction.

One of the men flagged the officers down to ask for help, according to police. The officers then turned around to see how they could assist the two men. Unaware of the officer safety law, both men told the officers their car ran out of gas and needed a ride to the nearest gas station, the officers agreed but needed to follow procedure when assisting civilians.

A computer inquiry of both men was conducted and police learned that Milner had three outstanding warrants for his arrest, following this discovery he was then taken into custody and found to be in possession of seven bags of marijuana.

Milner is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He is arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Prison after he failed to post $1,500 secured bail.
