Curfew Violator Fires “Projectile” at Police

A person fired some sort of "projecticle" at police Monday night in Darby Borough, setting off a search.

The incident began around 9:45 p.m. when something hit the back window of an officer's cruiser near 3rd and Main Streets, according to police. Initial reports were that it was gunfire, but now investigators think it was a rock or something else, but not a bullet.

The suspect fled and police were trying to find him or her. The ruckus comes less than a week into a mandatory 9 p.m. curfew the town's mayor instituted due to an uptick in gun violence.
