One student was stabbed, allegedly by another student, at Valley Forge Military Academy and College on Wednesday afternoon, a police source tells NBC10.

The school sent out a statement confirming that one Academy cadet hurt another, although the school would not confirm if it was a stabbing. Jennifer Myers, Director of Marketing and Communications for VFMA, referred us to the police for details. According to the school's statement, the injured cadet was taken to Bryn Mawr hospital, treated and released the same night. The other cadet was suspended, pending the outcome of the school's investigation. We asked if someone from the school could talk to us on camera. No one was available when we made that request earlier today "because it is an ongoing investigation and our focus is on internal discussions to communicate to our audience," Myers said via email.

Radnor Township police are investigating the alleged stabbing.

VFMA is an all-male boarding school in Wayne for grades 7-12. The college is co-ed.
