Storm Brings Down Trees Throughout The Region, Leading to Power Outages

The heavy line of rain and strong winds late Wednesday brought down some trees throughout the area, leading to scattered power outages.

Several trees were brought down onto power lines, which lead to power outages.

Tree trimming crews were called out to Limekiln Pike near Mill Creek Road after a tree broke loose and landed on a power line. Several homes in the area lost power as a result.

About 6 a.m., the trimmers finished up their work.

PECO crews were working to restore power to all of its customers.

In addition, a tree came crashing down in the 600 block of Hermit Street in Roxborough. As a result, the road is closed while crews work to remove the tree.
